Dealing with a terrorist attack (Prepare)
The Prepare strategy aims to mitigate the impact of a terrorist attack that cannot be stopped. This work includes bringing a terrorist attack to an end and increased resilience in order to recover after an attack.
The current threat level from international terrorism in the UK is Severe, which means that an attack is highly likely. The national advice if you're caught up in an incident is to:
- Run - if you can
- Hide - if you can't
- Tell - call police on 999 and warn others to stay away
