Kent geography
Districts
The county of Kent is split into 12 administrative areas known
as local authority districts. We have produced
a map of Kent local authority district areas (PDF, 97k) to
illustrate the location of each of these areas.
The Kent County Council area covers all 12 of these areas.
Medway is a unitary authority, which means that it is not included
under Kent County Council's jurisdiction.

Kent County Council also uses a geography called a County
Electoral Division. These are areas which Kent County councillors
are elected to represent and differ to the electoral wards which
local district councillors are elected to represent. Ordnance

website where you can view maps of electoral geographies
against various scales of mapping backgrounds.
