Constitution

Kent County Council agreed a constitution which sets out how the council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that these are clear, efficient and accountable to local people.

The executive summary provides an overview of the Constitution. For more detailed procedures and codes of practice view the whole document (PDF, 1.4Mb).

The Constitution was agreed on 18 June 2001 and was last amended on 28 March 2013.
