Richborough to Canterbury connection closure
Work has started on a major infrastructure electrical project which will affect Public Rights of Way in east Kent up to 2021.
A new 400kV overhead line between Richborough and Canterbury will connect the new Nemo Link (an electricity link between Herdersberg near Bruges and Richborough, near Sandwich) to the high voltage electricity network in Canterbury. The connection will play a vital role ensuring we have a continued safe, reliable and secure electricity supply.
For more information, visit the Richborough Connection website.
We will be working closely with the National Grid to keep any closures to a minimum, but paths will be closed at various times. We recommend that you check our local Public Right of Way closures before you travel, and follow signs and notices you come across.
