Kent Thameside Fastrack - Everards Link
Phase 1 of Everard's Link, provided a bus interchange for
Greenhithe Station, and was opened in Spring 2005. Phase 2 involves
extending this Link eastwards towards The Avenue and into the
Ingress Park development.
The scheme involves a short underpass to take the Link under The
Avenue.
The Government has provided £8m of Community Infrastructure Fund
funding. Crest Nicholson is funding the interface works where the
scheme links into Ingress Park.
Current Situation
A construction contract has been awarded to Birse Civil
Engineering.
Construction of the underpass and utility diversions at The
Avenue does require The Avenue to be closed to traffic but a route
for pedestrians will be maintained. |
