CRASHES DESTROY SO MUCH MORE THAN
CARS
Everyone has witnessed the aftermath of a road crash, most
people have seen smashed up cars and burnt out vehicles strewn
across a road, but not many have been close enough to see the
destruction to the lives of those left behind by fatal road
crashes.
Edwina Gray is a mum of three in her mid thirties with an
infectious energy, and the ability to see the funny side of almost
anything. Meeting her for the first time, you would never know that
she has spent the past three years climbing out of an abyss of
grief.
On May 2nd 2003, her husband Phil kissed her good-bye and left
to catch the early train to London from Ashford. A short time
later, Edwina heard the sound of police sirens and hoped in the
back of her mind that it wasn't Phil. When the police officer
walked up to her front door, her entire world changed forever.
