Community transport
|
Community transport is designed for those who cannot
access mainstream public transport due to mobility difficulties or
living in a rural area. Availability of community transport
services varies depending on the area you live in, but may include
the following:
- dial-a-ride services
- bus 'link' schemes
- taxi buses
- voluntary car schemes
Kent County Council works in partnership with local operators to
provide a dial-a-ride service called
Kent Karrier. You may also find that a
voluntary car scheme operates in your area,
or that your
district or borough council can provide
details of local schemes. |
