Transport Training

These days driving people about in a minibus or coach involves more than just knowing how to get the vehicle from one place to another.

Drivers need to be familiar with disability lifts, ramps and wheelchair restraints and must be confident about dealing with an emergency evacuation. They will also need to pass special tests. For instance, anyone who passed a driving test on or after 1st January 1997 may not automatically be entitled to drive a minibus.

Kent County Council meets these needs through its Transport Training School which offers a number of flexible solutions. Our training services are booked by a wide range of users, including schools and colleges, youth and sports clubs, driver agencies, landscape and plant contractors, livery stables, and many others.
