Details of planned roadworks by Kent Highway Services and
where to get information about roadworks being carried out by other
companies and on motorways.
Types of Roadworks
We do different types of work on Kent's roads to keep them safe
and in a good condition. This can be part of a planned maintenance
programme, or in response to a fault. Roadworks on motorways and
trunk roads are carried out by the Highways Agency. Other
companies, such as the utilites, will also need to work on Kent's
roads.

Roadwork schedules
We make every effort to complete works efficiently and with
minimum disruption, although time scales may change due to
unforeseen circumstances. Examples include bad weather or
obstructions, such as parked vehicles, preventing the works being
carried out to schedule. Exact dates will be displayed on advance
warning notice boards at the site.
We are unable to give advanced warning of all the work on the
roads, for example when we are responding to an emergency or a
fault that requires immediate attention.
