Kent Parishes and Town Councils

The Kent Parishes portal provides a link to a ready-made website for each of the 311 parish and town councils in the county, where parish clerks can publish information about their council such as agendas and minutes, plus local news, services and web links to local organisations and events.

Residents can also use the websites to get in touch with their parish council online.

You can find a link to each of the parish and town council websites on our website as well as through their own web addresses, e.g. www.bearstedpc.kentparishes.gov.uk.

The websites are built using Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS), which allows parish clerks across the county to connect to the web and publish their own information and manage their site.

KCC has provided free training for two people from each parish that has signed up to the project. The training has been prepared and delivered by Kent Adult Education Services.

KCC has also provided the parishes with a website to support them with their publishing and there is a forum in which they can share their publishing experiences.
