Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) and Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS)

Changes to equipment providers

We have recently awarded contracts to new equipment providers. These contracts started from 30 November 2015.

Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES)

This has been awarded to Nottingham Rehab Limited (trading as NRS Healthcare). The contract has been let in partnership with KCC, The seven NHS Clinical Commissioning groups (CCGs) in Kent.

Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS)

This has been awarded to Invicta Telecare Limited (trading as Centra Pulse and Connect) and is a KCC contract.

Centra Pulse have been contracted to supply, install maintain and monitor telecare alarms.

Ordering equipment online

ICES and Digital Care use separate online ordering systems for equipment. The systems are:

  • Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) - iRIS4
  • Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) - DATS

You can get a registration form for iRIS4 or DATS by emailing communitysupport@kent.gov.uk.

We provide online training for professionals who will need to order using the new system. You will be contacted about training after you have sent in your registration form.

Safe and Well

Safe and Well is a service provided by NRS Healthcare which enables people who aren't eligible for social care to find out about getting equipment. The service includes:

  • free online self-assessment
  • free local demonstration
  • free telephone advice
  • links to Centra services (technology and Telecare)
  • occupational therapist visits (fee charged)
  • directory of trusted local suppliers.
