Driver diversion schemes

For certain motoring offences, the police can offer drivers an educational course as an alternative to prosecution.

The aim is to influence driver attitude to reduce the chances of them being involved in a crash or committing another offence in the future.

Who can do the courses

These courses are only available to drivers referred by either Kent Police or other police forces that are part of the National Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) programme.

The courses are not available to all drivers.

You will know when you are eligible to attend as you will receive a letter from the police giving you the opportunity to participate.

When you have received a letter from the police telling you that you are eligible, it will tell you how to book the course.

The quickest and easiest way to book a National Speed Awareness Course in Kent is to book online.

You will need your driving licence number, and a credit or debit card to pay the course fee.
