Road safety

Road safety

We work to keep road users as safe as possible on Kent's roads.

We do this through pedestrian, driver, rider and cyclist training. We also use road safety awareness campaigns, education programmes and safety engineering measures.

Pedestrians

Teaching children road safety skills is vital. We run safety training such as Small Steps and Safety in Action.

Drivers

By changing the way you drive, there is less risk to you, your passengers, and other road users. Find out about safer driving.

Cyclists

As it grows in popularity, many people are using their bike as a mode of transport and not purely for leisure.

Although statistically cycling is safe, it is important that cyclists are careful to keep themselves safe when cycling.

Community Speed Watch

Community Speed Watch is a scheme that enables local people to address speeding issues in their own communities.
