Local Transport Plan
To achieve our vision, Kent County Council has a plan called the
Local Transport Plan for Kent. The local transport plan tells
the government how we will work towards our transport vision over a
five year period and outlines the funding that we require from
government to achieve this vision.
The first local transport plan for Kent was submitted
in 2001 and covers the period 2001-06. Every year, we report to the
government on our progress.
Read our Annual Progress Reports 2001-05.
Kent County Council submitted a delivery report in July 2006, which outlines the
achievements of the first local transport plan for
Kent.
The second local transport plan for Kent 2006-11 was
submitted to the government on 31 March 2006. View the final local
transport plan 2006-11 or the appendices.
Kent County Council submitted a
final local transport plan delivery report (PDF, 5MB) in
December 2008 to the Government Office for the South East, which
reviews progress to date (April 2006 - March 2008).
They look forward to the remainder of the second local
transport plan period (April 2008 - March 2011) to identify
risks and opportunities to future delivery. This report has taken
into account comments received from stakeholders during the summer
2008.
We have also started writing our next Local Transport Plan for
2011-16 which will be adopted by 1 April 2011. Further details on
its preparation and consultation will be available shortly.
