Kent Freedom Pass

Young people in year 7-11 can get unlimited travel around the county with a Kent Freedom Pass, making travel easier and more affordable.

After a single annual payment, bus travel is free any day of the week on most bus routes.

Who can apply?

Young people who will be in years 7-11 from September 2011 and live in Kent can apply for a Kent Freedom Pass.

How much does it cost?

  • The standard cost of the Kent Freedom Pass is £100.
  • If you get free school meals the cost is reduced to £50.
  • If you are a young carer, or are in care the Kent Freedom Pass is free.

How to apply

You can now apply online - if you are paying the standard fee of £100.

All other applicants need to print the application form (pdf, 1.1mb) and apply by post.

Using your Freedom Pass

Your Kent Freedom Pass needs to be used on each bus journey, and does not guarantee you space on a bus. There may be times when you need to stand or wait for the next bus.
