The A254 between Ramsgate and Margate is a major route in the road network of Thanet. The road is also a key link between these two areas and Westwood. There is much local concern at the growing problems of traffic congestion being experienced in this area, which has a considerable knock-on effect for the reliability of important bus services e.g. the LOOP.
