The Kent Environment Strategy sets a wide-ranging and ambitious
programme for environmental improvement.
The progress reports from 2005 and 2007 show that while much has
been achieved, there is little room for complacency. The latest
progress report describes the state of Kent's environment as
'precious, fragile and under increasing pressure' from climate
change, development and pollution.
The 2007 progress report and a short summary version can be
viewed below. They should be read in conjunction with the 2005
progress report to give a full picture of action taken. The
strategy is being reviewed in 2008.
