Last few weeks to enter the KEiBA awards
15 February 2010
It is a bright star in the world of business, the Kent
Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA), and they are back.
This is the second year running that businesses can enter to be
recognised as the very best in Kent.
KEiBA 2010 was formally unveiled on the 14 January at Bradbourne
House in East Malling, and will culminate in a gala awards
presentation in July.
The closing date for entries is March 19th.
The awards scheme is staged and produced by Kent County Council
and the KM Group and aims to recognise excellence in business
across Kent and Medway.
Kevin Lynes, KCC Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic
Development said:
"The KEiBA awards are an excellent opportunity for companies to
enter and promote their business to clients and celebrate with
their staff. We had a great response last year and I hope many more
companies will enter this time round.
"It is also another opportunity to celebrate Kent's successes as
a vibrant place for businesses of all sizes. I am sure it has been
a difficult year for many. But this is a chance to take notice of
companies that have met that challenge and despite the economic
circumstances, have got on and done well. I also hope that next
year will be better than 2009 and that we begin moving out of the
recession.
Geraldine Allinson, Chairman of the KM Group, said:
“The inaugural awards had gone very well. The finalists all
demonstrated outstanding achievements and it was heartening to hear
so many success stories in the face of difficult economic
times.
"I am confident that the 2010 event will be even bigger and
better, with hopefully a more encouraging economic climate that
will help businesses generate wealth and create jobs for the
county.
"I urge firms, organisations and individuals to enter KEiBA.
It's a great competition and being a finalist, if not a winner,
brings lustre to any business as wells as boosting team spirit and
morale."
