Childcare job vacancies now available from Kent Children and
Families Information Service
7 June 2010
Childcare providers in Kent are being invited to take part in a
new service provided by the Kent Children and Families Information
Service.
Providers, which can include childminders, nurseries and
playgroups, can pass on details of job vacancies they have to the
service who will then advertise them via a telephone service,
events, online and through Jobcentre Plus.
Anyone looking for a career in childcare can contact the
Children and Families Information Service to find out about current
vacancies.
Kent County Council Cabinet Member for Children, Families and
Education, Sarah Hohler, said:
“This excellent new service will benefit not only providers in
Kent, by giving them a free and easy way to advertise their
vacancies, but also people looking for a career in childcare.”
This new service adds to the list of services already provided
by the Children and Families Information Service. These include
access to the only Ofsted-registered database of childcare in the
county and information for parents of children and young people up
to the age of 20 on anything from healthy eating to bullying,
drugs, sex and relationships and much more.
There is also advice on benefits such as tax credits and
maternity/paternity leave, information on the free entitlement to
early education and help with paying for childcare.
