Children, families and education case studies
Kent is at the forefront of local authorities developing
academies to increase the range and choice of schools across the
county that meet local needs.
The main aim of the Building Schools for the Future programme is
to broaden school engagement in the BSF design process and to
design transformational learning environments.
Extended Services in Kent support schools both centrally and
through cluster based Extended Services Development Managers.
Kent County Council has taken a close look at the money it has
spent on capital school projects to help it spend its money better
in the future.
The Kent Children's University is aimed at raising attainment,
improving self confidence and fostering a love of learning for
children aged five to 14 years and their families.
Kent Safe Schools seeks to listen to, consult, engage and
support children and young people and encourage them to actively
participate and positively contribute to their schools.
