Keen photographers are being challenged to capture the
changing nature of Kent's unique environment.
Kent County Council is inviting entries from all comers for its
photographic competition being launched today for World Environment
Day - and you can win one of a host of prizes.
These include family tickets for attractions like Howletts and
Port Lympne wild animal parks, Eagle Heights, Quex House and
Gardens and the Powell-Cotton Museum, and Bewl Water, KCC walking
packs and a memory card from the Pantiles Camera Shop.
Photographers are challenged to capture their own unique
individual record this summer. The images will go on show at the
Environment Awards for Kent Business in September, and will be held
on a database.
The pictures must be taken in Kent, but there's no time limit.
They can reflect different seasons, or be taken in previous
years.
KCC Environment Director, Linda Davies, said:"This is a
wonderful opportunity for people living and working in Kent to show
us the county's changing environment. It will also enable us to
build a big picture of the impact climate change is having across
the county."
The closing date for entries is 5 September. Visit the
Green
Kent pages to find out more. |
