Sporting activities for all at Beyond Boundaries Live event

14/07/2008

This free event will also include everything from healthcare seminars, celebrities, work and recruitment, holidays, fitness, test driving handcycles, and lots more.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience sports such as:

  • football
  • new age curling
  • adaptive rowing
  • archery
  • sitting volleyball
  • climbing (using a seven-metre-high wall)

Inspirational celebrities who have overcome various challenges and have achieved amazing feats of endeavour, such as the 11 time Paralympic winner Dame Tanni Grey Thompson, will also be attending. Visitors will even have the chance to shoot some hoops in the basketball demonstration alongside Olympic medallist, Ade Adepitan.

The London Wheelchair Rugby Club will also be looking for new players to form four new teams in the south of England.

Mike Bishop, Kent Sports Development Manager, said: "The show gives us an excellent opportunity to showcase these sports to disabled people and provide further information on where they can continue participation."

The event will then come to a close with a spectacular fashion show ranging from non-stop glamour to funky everyday fashion for the whole family.
