30 years of the North Downs Way

07/08/2008

What's the best way to celebrate your 30th birthday? What about a big outdoor party, plenty of guests, a giant birthday cake and having a great time attempting to break some World Records.

That's just how the North Downs Way National Trail will be celebrating its 30th birthday, and everyone is invited to join in the fun, and help to achieve a place in the record books.

The popular long distance walking, cycling and riding route has been enjoyed by thousands of visitors over the last three decades. And it is hoped that many of these people will return as guests for the official birthday celebrations at Withersdane Hall, near Wye, on Saturday 13 September.

Join the celebrations

Couple walking on Wye Downs The day will be packed full of fun family activities including an attempt to break the World Record for simultaneous cartwheels, and an attempt to break the record for the number of snails placed on a human face.
