Self-Service in our libraries

Self-service is coming to Kent libraries!

We are rolling out self-service kiosks to 34 libraries across Kent during 2011-12.

Folkestone Library and Hythe Library are the last libraries to have self-service kiosks installed in 2011. Next year will see a roll out to the Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Dartford districts. To find out if your local library has been affected, please contact your library before visiting.

Installing self-service technology brings many benefits:

Faster transactions

You can put all your items in the kiosk at the same time and they will be processed together. The transaction is completed within a matter of seconds and you will spend less time queuing.

self-service kioskManage your account

It's quick and easy to use self-service to:

  • issue
  • return
  • renew
  • view your account details
  • pay fines and charges.

Better access to staff

Our staff will have more time to offer you help and advice in the library.

For more information please ask a member of staff at your local library.
