Room hire

The Discovery Centre has a number of rooms available for hire that can accommodate between 10 and 30 people, and a theatre which holds up to 100 people.

The centre has good accessibility for people with disabilities with lift access to all floors.

Room Layouts

• Open block - square of tables and chairs with an open middle
• Boardroom - similar to open block but without open middle
• Classroom - rows of tables with chairs behind
• Theatre style - rows of chairs with a top table and chairs

Equipment

All rooms have whiteboards with one having an interactive whiteboard (room 110). Other equipment available for a nominal fee includes flip charts, OHP and TV and video or DVD players.

Car Parking

There are two public car parks situated near the centre:

• Albany Place
• Stembrook (near Somerfields)
