from computers in particular libraries.

A resource providing career and course suggestions according to
the individual user's style, situation, targets and priorities.
Please note: You need to register in one of our libraries
first, but once your account has been created this product can be
used from any internet-enabled computer.
This online course provides access to course material from
chapters 2 to 6 of "Life in the United Kingdom: a journey into
Citizenship" published by the Home Office. It also includes speech,
a glossary, revision tests at the end of each section and full
practice tests to prepare you for UK Citizenship test.

A bibliographic index of over 260 titles from the most popular
teacher and administrator trade journals, periodicals, and books,
providing coverage on key education topics such as assessment,
continuing education, current research, curriculum
development, literacy standards, and more for K-12 teachers and
librarians.
Theory Test Pro is a highly realistic online simulation of the
UK's driving theory test. It contains the entire official test
question bank, hazard perception video clips and an online version
of the Highway Code. All this material is licensed from the Driving
Standards Agency (DSA), the people who set the tests.
How to sign up for Theory Test Pro
When
you first use Theory Test Pro, you will need to register with your
name, email address and password. This information allows
Theory Test Pro to save your test scores so you can follow your
progress as you practise for the test. If you sign up from home or
anywhere else outside of the library, you will also need a valid
library barcode number, available on your library card.

Aimed at migrant workers, this site provides information on
working and living in the UK (available in several languages).
There are also specific employer/professionals/service providers
pages.
NextStep South
East
NextStep provides free, impartial, and confidential advice on
learning, training, or work to adults. Surgeries with advisors are
available in some Kent libraries.
UCAS
UCAS is the central organisation that processes applications for
full-time undergraduate courses at UK universities and colleges.
