Accessible Heritage Trails
The Accessible Heritage Trails leaflets explore the monuments
and fortified sites of historic towns in Kent, West Flanders and
the Côte d'Opale, the French coastal stretch between Calais and
Boulogne-sur-Mer.
The trails are easily accessible for everyone, particularly for
people with limited mobility, the elderly and families with
pushchairs. Each leaflet contains a clear map, a route description
and some historic information about the major points of
interest.
The Kent leaflets include trails of Canterbury, Dover,
Rochester, Sandwich, Tonbridge, Hythe and a
special Battle of Britain trail, taking you to various sites
and monuments associated with the Battle of Britain in southern
Kent.
In 2007, a new trail for Thurnham Castle was launched that takes

enclosure and Thurnham Castle itself.
