Medway Mosaics
Medway
Mosaics is gathering information on the heritage of the parishes in
the Medway Valley. This information will go towards parish surveys
which will form lasting records of some of the old
buildings, archaeological sites and historic countryside in
and around your villages.
If you live in the Medway Valley, particularly:
- Cuxton
- Halling
- Snodland
- Birling
- Aylesford
- Burham
- Wouldham
- Eccles
- Borstal
we want to know what new historic sites you have discovered.
For instance when you are out walking have you spotted an old
ruin; some strange bumps in a field; have you seen a really big old
tree, or tripped over a concrete lump in the middle of a wood. Have
you wondered what it could be or how old it was? Do you have
old photographs of your local area or know of some local
folklore?
If you do, we'd like you to tell us. Even if you don't you
can join this project by going out exploring your local area
and sending us information on your discoveries. To
send us details of your findings please use the special Medway
Mosaics recording form. To post
the information please
use this form (PDF, 664k). To email your results
please use this Word form (WORD, 41k).
