When are Kent Country Parks open?

Our parks are open every day from 9am until dusk or 9pm, whichever is sooner. Parks are closed on Christmas Day.


Why charge for car parking at some of the parks?

All the income generated from the car parking charges and season tickets is used to improve the environment for wildlife and visitor facilities at the parks.


Is there coach parking available at the parks?

Coach parking is available at Shorne Woods Country Park and Lullingstone Country Park.

Coaches must be pre-booked and cost £5.00. Coaches are able to park free of charge if visiting as a pre-booked education, cafe or function group.

Normal car parking charges apply to minibuses. Minibuses showing a disabled badge will be free of charge.


What is the Green Flag award?

The prestigious Green Flag Award is the national standard for quality parks and green spaces in England and Wales. As of July 2009, Trosley Country Park and Brockhill Country Park have maintained their Green Flag Award for the third year in a row with Shorne Woods Country Park achieving its second year, with the highest possible score. Horse boxes must be pre-booked with the visitor centres at Lullingstone, Shorne, Trosley (especially at Lullingstone Country Park, as we only allow horseboxes at the Redmans Lane car park and the barrier is locked).

£5 off peak (Monday to Friday outside holidays).

£10 peak (Saturday/Sunday/Bank holidays and all school holidays).

Are barbeques allowed at any Kent Country Parks?

Yes, barbeques are allowed at Brockhill Country Park, Grove Ferry Picnic Site, Teston Bridge Country Park and Manor Park Country Park.


 Where can I let my dog off its lead?

All of our parks have areas where dogs can be off leads, but they must still be kept under your control. 

We generally sign areas where dogs must be kept on leads, and this is usually in the busy areas where public congregate such as car parks,visitors centres and cafes, play areas and picnic areas.
