Staff and assistants accompanying groups
remain responsible for the students while on site.
All members of the group should come dressed
appropriately for all weathers. Our sites are open for the
enjoyment of all. Staff should be aware that some members of
the public may bring dogs on to the sites.
Pre-visits
We advise all members of staff who are
planning to bring a school group to the site for a school visit to
come and meet the Education Team and the site.
Approval for visits to Kent Country Parks
Kent County Council’s County Parks Education team are vetted by
Kent County Council to provide educational activities to schools
and youth groups. Visits to our sites do not require Local
Authority approval if activities are led by our Education Ranger
Team.
School staff who plan to lead activities involving water should
contact the Outdoor Education Unit well in advance to discuss the
activities to see if approval is required.

Booking Procedure
Please contact our Education Rangers to
discuss your requirements and any special access needs. We
will send you a booking form to complete and return within 3
working days and an evaluation form to complete on the day of the
visit. We use all information to support us in developing and
enhancing our programmes.
