Foal Hurst Wood is a small coppiced woodland Nature Reserve in the Weald of Kent. It is open all year round, allowing visitors to enjoy a quiet walk in a woodland setting.

About

Many people appreciate seeing the spring flowers in April and May, but there are different sights and sounds to enjoy whatever the season.

To fully value the Nature Reserve, it is best to sit quietly on one of the seats dotted along the footpaths and wait for the wildlife to become accustomed to your presence. A visit can last 20 minutes or perhaps an hour, it depends upon your frame of mind. A quiet wood, in which to become re-acquainted with nature and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

Facilities

Car park for 15 vehicles - open 9am to sunset.

Walking - no dogs except assistance dogs.

Suitable for electric scooter users.
