Terms and conditions

1.  The promoter is Kent County Council, Countryside Access Service, County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XX, on behalf of the local authority Kent County Council and Visit Kent Ltd.

2.  The closing date for entry into the prize draw is 31 March 2012. The grand prize draw will take place on 9 April 2012 and the winners notified.

3.  The prizes consist of:

• Top prize: One iPhone 4S with the official geocaching.com iPhone app.
• Runner up prizes: One of 25 Kent Attraction Passes.

One prize only per winner.

4.  Details of how to enter form part of the terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5.  The prizes as described are available on the date of publication.

6.  All prizes are non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.

7.  Over 18s only may enter the prize draws.

8.  By entering the prize draw, participants are joining Kent County Council’s Explore Kent mailing list and will be contacted in the future with information about walking, riding or cycling in Kent.

9.  All personal data will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act and will not be passed on to any third parties.

10.  A maximum of one entry per person.

11.  Competitions are not open for employees (and their families), affiliates, advertisers and promotion agents of Kent County Council’s Countryside Access Service and Visit Kent Ltd.

12.  Winners of the prize draw will be randomly chosen by the Kent County Council judge and the winner will be notified by email or telephone.

13.  The winner has up to 28 days to claim the prize after notification, failure to claim within time limit will lead Kent County Council to select another winner.

14.  The prize draw winner automatically grants Kent County Council permission to use their photograph and family name in any public announcements. This includes publication on the Explore Kent and KMFM websites, in press releases and promotional emails. 

15.  Kent County Council reserves the right to disqualify a winner that does not comply with prize draw terms and conditions.

16.  Kent County Council reserves the right to withdraw, suspend, cancel or vary the dates of the prize draw competition at any time without notice.

17.  Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.

18.  Kent County Council shall not bear any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any entrant or winner in connection with any prize draw or any entry.

19.  By entering this prize draw, participants agree to accept and be bound to all the terms and conditions and any decision made by Kent County Council.
