Kent County Youth Theatre Festival 2009

The first Kent County Youth Theatre Festival was launched on Sunday 22 March 2009. It was an incredible success involving over 200 young theatre practitioners, facilitators, youth theatre leaders and supporters. Young people took part in lots of exciting workshops such as stage make-up, musical theatre, mask workshops and many more. Alongside this the youth theatre leaders enjoyed the same workshops and began the exciting planning process for the 2 day 2010 Kent County Youth Theatre Festival.

What participants said about the festival:

"The Youth Theatre event last night was quite inspirational! The enthusiasm of all the young people was great to see and I heard nothing but praise for the arrangements from the many leaders I spoke to. I was also hugely impressed with the standard of the performances we watched. Altogether an excellent start in every way and I look forward to the next stage in your journey."

"Just a quickie to say well done for today. The buzz when I arrived was electric - all of the young people I spoke to had gained something from the day, and some of the theatre this evening was magnificent."
