Past exhibitions

The programme of exhibitions in 2011 explored the nature of the gallery space, situated as it is under the same roof as the library and museum. The programme addressed questions around localism, public spaces, and the temporary nature of the exhibition.

In 2010, artists from across the county were invited to submit work with themes taken from the gallery’s name. Selected works were shown across a series of four exhibitions running from April 2010 to January 2011:

• Scopos [the watcher] 14 October to 24 November 2010
• Apokrisis [response] 1 December 2010 to 27 January 2011
• Kaleidoscope [watcher of beautiful form] to 4 February to 31 March 2011
