Summits
Having a cultural strategy for the county is important because
of the role culture plays in regeneration and in how people feel
about living in, working in and visiting the county.
Kent County Council is leading on the development of a Cultural
Strategy for Kent. We are working on the principle that the most
effective strategy will be partnership-based and built on
collaboration, creativity, and
consensus.
On 17 February 2009, we held the first
Cultural Summit in Kent. The Summit was the first of 3
conferences planned to help us develop the county's Cultural
Strategy.
The second Cultural Summit was held
on 28 September 2009.
On 19 April 2010 we held the third
Cultural Summit which was met with great success and which will
help towards forming the Kent Cultural Strategy due to be published
in Summer 2010.
