The clubs and societies database is changing!

The Kent Libraries and Archives clubs and societies database has needed redesigning for some time. To achieve this in the most practical and cost-effective way, we are in the process of merging it with the Family Services Directory, also administered by Kent County Council. This directory holds information about organisations, clubs and societies that offer services for families in Kent.

Being on the directory means that your organisation/club’s details will be held on the local Kent Family Services Directory and the National Family Services Directory. This would, for example, allow a family living in Manchester and looking to re-locate to Kent to see what services/clubs/activities are available in Kent. The new facility will also offer organisations the facility to join and update their records electronically.

In view of the changes all clubs and societies currently included in our database have been sent a letter and form to confirm their details and wish to be included as part of the wider directory. Forms should be returned using the enclosed Freepost envelope or handed in to a Kent Library.

Youth Activities

Young people aged 13 to 19 will find the Kent Youth Service's togogo website useful.

Togogo provides information for young people looking for things to do and places to go in Kent. You will find information on anything from festivals and gigs to business and enterprise, and from arts and drama to sports and games.

You can also find out about the Kent Youth Service and find your nearest Youth Centre.

You can find details of registered childcare provisions and children activity providers from the Kent's Children Information and Service database.
