Exhibition and gallery space in Kent libraries

Bali Rai book signingKent Libraries are enthusiastic and committed promoters and developers of the arts for people of all ages.

  • We show a wide range of art and craft exhibitions in our galleries and libraries;
  • Music events take place in libraries and in partnership with other venues;
  • We host poetry readings, talks by authors, lectures and other literary activities;
  • Dancers, mime-artists, jugglers, weavers, storytellers and a whole host of other performers and practitioners have appeared in local libraries;
  • Community arts projects enable local people to work with our arts officers and professional artists, providing creative opportunities and producing work that reflects the spirit of the community.
