Local Sporting Heroes is a project celebrating Kent's great
sporting heritage which has been granted the Inspire Mark, the
badge of the London 2012 Inspire Programme.
The stories of these 10 local
sporting heroes are drawn from the research of volunteers in Kent Libraries
& Archives.

These are just a sample of the many inspiring stories that we
will collect and celebrate in our Libraries and Archives. Our
volunteers have identified more than 130 sports men and women with
Kent connections who participated in past Olympic and Paralympic
Games.
