Giving information on the main aims and objectives of the group,
this section is designed to inform visitors of the facilities
available, as well as about becoming a member, meetings and other
useful information regarding our Museums.
The majority of Kent's museums are not managed by Kent County
Council. This section aims to help the user find a museum according
to their needs.
In 2008 Folkestone Museum will be transformed into a History
Resource Centre (HRC). The HRC will be an exciting and unique
community resource where users will be able to explore, research
and discover a treasure trove of hundreds of objects from fossils
to paintings and pot lids.
Initially created in 1920, Sevenoaks Museum has re-opened as
part of the library in December 2006 after re-development funded by
the Heritage Lottery Fund, KCC, Sevenoaks District Council and
Sevenoaks Town Council.
