Internet use and safety

Most of the links on this page open in a new window.

Each of our libraries has at least one computer for public use.

It's a good idea to book in advance as they can get very busy. You can book online or by visiting or phoning your library.

You can use the computers:

  • For study
  • To research school or personal projects
  • For revision
  • Just for fun

If you are under 16 and want to use the Internet, a parent or carer will need to sign a form to say that they Think you Know logo agree to this. Just ask at your local library, and we will post a permission form home to them.

Help keep yourself safe on the Internet by checking out our SMART Rules or visiting Safeteens. You'll also find videos, polls and lots of useful advice at Think U Know. Why not watch this film about social networking on Kent TV? (the last three links open in a new window).
