Kent is full of great historic places to visit. There are
Neolithic tombs, Iron Age hill forts, Roman forts, Medieval castles
and even a Cold War bunker.
From the Swanscombe Heritage Park (link opens in a new
window) (where the remains of skull from around 400,000 years ago
were found) to the Greatstone sound mirrors (an early form of radar
near Dungeness built between 1927 and 1930), the variety of sites
reflects the incredible diversity of Kent's heritage.
