Take a leisurely stroll around the attractive landscape of
Chilham and explore the Stour Valley.
Follow the trail amongst traditional orchards, quaint villages
and ancient woodland.
Enjoy inspiring views all along the walk and, in particular, at
Julliberrie Down.
The Down is home to one of the areas most interesting historical
features: Julliberrie's Grave.
This Neolithic long-barrow (prehistoric grave) is shrouded in
mystery. Excavations here have revealed strong Roman connections
with Roman coins, pottery and burials discovered.
Broadham Down is also nearby and is a beautiful wildlife
habitat.
More information about the walk and a map and guide are
available in the
Lost Landscapes Heritage Trails Chilham leaflet.
