Walk Wonders with Macmillan

On Sunday 18th May 2008, Macmillan Cancer Support is delighted to offer you the chance to Walk Wonders through the picturesque countryside and ancient parkland surrounding one of England's oldest family homes. Penshurst Place has been the seat of the Sidney family since 1552 and the magnificent mediaeval manor house and gardens have changed little over the centuries.

By joining Macmillan to Walk Wonders, Penshurst Place will kindly give you permission to wander through the grounds free of charge and, should you wish to take a closer look at the manor house and gardens - you are more than welcome to do so at your leisure and for a discounted entry fee.

Walk Wonders is a great event for the whole family and for all abilities - you can choose between a gentle 2 ½ mile walk for little legs or take your time and follow our 8 mile route. Let's take steps together to help people living with cancer. When you take part in Walk Wonders you'll enjoy a fun family day out and know that you're making a difference to the thousands of people affected by cancer in the UK.

How can I register?

All you have to do is sign up to join us at Penshurst Place on Sunday 18th May and then get friends and family to sponsor you for taking part. To register, call 0845 673 0715. Macmillan relies on voluntary donations for 99% of its income, which is why your involvement is so very important.
