Want to learn more about the landscape, wildlife and
heritage of your local area? If so, why not get involved in the
Valley of Visions scheme?
Valley of Visions is a three year project which
aims to encourage local people and visitors to explore,
enhance and celebrate the natural beauty and heritage of the
Medway Gap, a broad, triangular valley of landscape nestled
between Maidstone and the Medway towns.
Working in partnership with local organisations and experts,
Valley of Visions is running a programme of free interactive
wildlife and heritage events, walks and talks in the Medway
Gap.
You can join in a guided walk to discover and identify the
wildflowers and butterflies of the North Downs, learn about the
industrial heritage of the Medway Gap, get up-close to dormice,
take part in an interactive talk on surviving the ice ages or
venture on an evening bat walk - just some of the programmes'
highlights.
Please note that booking is required on some events. Download a
copy of the full programme of events, walks and talks for 2008 from
