TROT - Toll Rides (Off-Road) Trust operate a permitted system of
off-road riding for horse riders and carriage drivers.
TROT routes follow agreed tracks or headlands that riders pay to
use.
Disabled riders and carriage drivers are entitled to free
membership. Riders join their local route, paying the applicable
fee, but have the privilege of being able to ride all TROT routes
nationwide.
A good network of off-road riding can economically benefit the
rural community.
There are more than 30 TROT routes in Kent alone, on farm and
forestry land. Most of the routes connect to bridle paths or byways
- therefore providing access to a wider off-road riding
network.
TROT is a registered charity and profits are put towards the
development of new riding networks.
