Kent Countryside Access Forum Support Volunteer

Are you passionate about the Kent countryside? The Kent Countryside Access Forum (KCAF) advises Kent County Council and others on ways to improve public rights of way and green spaces in Kent. It is made up of volunteers who aim to provide a balanced view of access issues and priorities affecting the local area or which might influence national policy.

The KCAF are looking for a long-term support volunteer who is looking for experience in this area of work and is willing to volunteer for 1 day per week in Maidstone. You will gain excellent experience in guiding and enabling volunteers, support the KCAF in administrative tasks using MS word and excel, respond to consultations and will work with like - minded people who support the following countryside activities and issues arising from them:

  • leisure and recreational activities including walking, horse riding, cycling, carriage driving and motor vehicle use of byways
  • farming or land management
  • nature conservation
  • history or archaeology
  • rural business
  • tourism
  • minority groups
  • access for disabled people.
