Jeskyns has been created from land that was previously under intensive agriculture but has now has been converted to a mixture of traditional habitats. The intention is that over time, with careful management, the key historic landscape features of North Kent will reappear, including traditional orchards of apples, cherries and cobnuts, open parkland, grass and wildflower meadows, and native woodlands. A range of newly created habitats including four new ponds provide the opportunity for wildlife to flourish. Jeskyns is very popular with the local community. It has almost seven kilometres of fully accessible hard trails and grass paths across the site for use by pedestrians, wheelchair users, families with buggies, cyclists and horse riders. The extensive circular trails are clearly way marked, they vary in length between 0.75 miles and 3 miles and take in all of the most interesting features on site. Children will enjoy the innovative natural play features that have been designed to stimulate the imagination including a tree house on stilts and a hop pole ‘forest’. Jeskyns has been awarded Green Flag status and is also part of the Darnely Trail –a walk that links Jeskyns to other local parks, including ShorneWoods Country Park, Ashenbank Wood, Cobham Hall. and Ranscombe Farm Reserve.

Please keep your dogs on leads due to grazing livestock.
