About the park

Grove Ferry Picnic Site is next to the River Stour and a good base for following the Stour Valley Walk, the Saxon Shore Way or the Wantsum Walks, and is adjacent to Stodmarsh National Reserve. There are also circular walks you can follow from the park. The boat club on the opposite river bank has lots of activity and the picnic site is a popular setting off point for canoeists. During the summer months you can also take a pleasant boat trip on the River Stour from the Grove Ferry Inn. Visit Grove Ferry River Trips for more information.

The new play area is proving a hit with younger visitors and makes this site ideal for a family day out.

Fishing is only available by permit.
