How to apply for a placement

To apply browse the types of placements we can offer you, then fill in an online form stating which placement you are interested in.

Completing the application form

Please complete as much of the application form as you can.

Some fields are mandatory so must be filled in these are highlighted by a red asterisk .

Click next to process to the next section, previous to go back a page, or Cancel to abandon your application.

Once you have completed all sections, click the submit button to send your application form to us.

Filling out application forms can be time consuming, but we hope you find our online application process quick and easy to use, however, if you do have any feedback relating to your experience please email workplacements@kent.gov.uk.

Keep to the point, concentrate on the quality of your achievements, using real examples which prove that you can do what you say you can. It is a good idea to research into your area of interest to prove that you are motivated and keen to experience the type of work in your chosen field.

Be honest in your application - do not lie.

Important - Check carefully that your spelling and grammar are correct. Do not rely on just spell checkers. It is often helpful to get someone else to check as well.

What will happen to my application once it has been submitted?

Once you have submitted your application a copy is sent to the Work Experience Project Officer for review. You will receive an email to confirm that it has been received. If successful, your application will be forwarded to the relevant team offering the placement for final decision.

How long will it take for a decision to be made on my application?

Due to the number of application forms we receive it can sometimes take a while to review every one. However, you will receive notification once your application has been received by the Work Experience Project Officer.
