Management Stream

Emma Ockelford

Emma's first placement involves working in the Sustainability and Climate Change team within the Environment and Enterprise directorate. The project she is currently working on has been to create an online portfolio of placement opportunities for Kent’s Higher Education students.

Christopher Barker

Christopher Barker

Christopher is coming to the end of his current placement in the Children’s Safeguarding Unit within the Families and Social Care directorate but his work involved quality assurance surrounding child protection conferences.

Lyndsey Hand

Lyndsey Hand

For Lyndsey's first placement she has been in the Corporate Policy team which works on behalf of Cabinet and the Corporate Management team. It works on strategically implementing national policy in the Kent Context.

 

Finance Stream

Victoria Birmingham

For her first placement, Victoria is assisting with forecasting the outturn position for various budget lines. This involves meeting managers to see what spend they anticipate coming up and checking that invoices have been coded correctly.

Charlotte Pain

Charlotte Pain

Charlotte is currently Working within Corporate Finance, she has been involved in a variety of projects and tasks, including construction of the Budget Book and is organising the joint Council Tax leaflet which goes out to all Kent households every year with their Council Tax bill.

 

Transport and Development Stream

Katie Pettitt

Katie's role within the Highways and Transportation service is very varied but working along side the Traffic manager, she has just drafted the new Freight action plan and carried out its consultation.

Charlotte Owen

Charlotte Owen

Charlotte's first placement has been with the Development Planning team. It has given her the opportunity to work within a large team which interacts greatly with other teams in Highways and Transportation. Some of her work involved assessing potential sites for housing development.
